“Leave my team if you can’t pick up form like Havertz” – £45m Arsenal star has told Mikel Arteta he wants to return to his old club
Thomas Partey’s future at Arsenal is uncertain and several big European clubs are keen to sign him.
The Ghanaian star could leave the Emirates Stadium in the summer, with Juventus and Saudi Arabian clubs bidding for the 30-year-old, but no firm offers have come in.
Juve are still interested in Partey and the Arsenal star is believed to be open to a transfer.
According to Todofichajes, a second club, Atletico Madrid, has now appeared on the scene.
Diego Simeone is looking for a new central midfielder before the start of the transfer window next month and could come back for his former player.
The Arsenal star spent eight years at the Madrid club, coming through their academy, so Simeone knows him well.
The 30-year-old left in 2020 as part of a deal worth £45 million, and he became a key figure for Mikel Arteta last season.
However, that changed with the arrival of Declan Rice and with Partey having spent most of the current campaign injured, it seems the midfielder could be moving on soon.
