£25.5M deal could be completed soon as club sort out replacement – Leeds United close in on another signing – Medical Soon?!
Leeds United could be set to complete another major transfer this summer. Unlike the other deals, this one could still yet take a while.
The first deal of the summer for Lukas Nmecha was completed quick and easy, all it took was some conversations with Daniel Farke to convince the forward. Jaka Bijol’s deal was much different, it dragged along for quite a while as Leeds refused to overpay for the defender. The club eventually agreed a £15million fee.
And now, one of the club’s current moves is close to completion, but it may take longer than expected.

Despite signing Nmecha, sources made it publicly know that another center forward would be signed later this summer. Last season had Patrick Bamford and Mateo Joseph as depth behind Joel Piroe. The attack could have a completely different composition this year.
A deal for Lecce’s Nikola Krstovic has been in the works since last week. Corriere Dello Sport have revealed that a deal between both clubs can be completed soon. The Serie A side have began the process to find a replacement for Krstovic. Basel’s Kevin Carlos is considered a major target for Lecce. This will lead to Leeds finally completing the deal for Krstovic.
The talks have dragged on for so long, because the Whites needed to convince the striker to move to England. Krstovic had a strong desire to remain in Italy.
Krstovic is a quality signing
The striker is the definition of a ”one-man attack”. Krstovic can generate a threat from anywhere on the pitch. He has a nose for goal and can get on the end of chances. The 25-year old can shoot, generate good chances (xG) and is accurate in front of goal.

This is the kind of attacker Leeds would need in the Premier League. Hopefully the club can get the deal over the line.
