Arsenal fans might be shocked as supercomputer predicts who will win the premier league 2023-24
The supercomputer has predicted who will win the Premier League this season, taking into account all results from last season, pre-season data and current form. Arsenal were just weeks away from being crowned English champions, but an injury to William Salib meant they soon had to hand over the top spot to Manchester City.
Although they were at the top of the table for most of the season, the Canaries fell at home. Mikel Arteta, eager to win his first English title in 20 years, spent millions on Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber to strengthen his squad.
The latter has been absent since the first weekend of the season, but Arsenal still managed to start a new title race. The Gunners are currently in third place with 64 points – equal to Liverpool and just one point ahead of Man City.
Although Arsenal are behind, there is little difference between the three clubs. If the champions are decided by goal difference, the Gunners are actually the best prepared. Not only have Arteta’s men scored fewer goals than their rivals, but they have also scored far more – thanks to a 6-0 thrashing of Sheffield United on Monday night.
After beating Chris Wilder’s team at Bramall Lane, Arsenal are now the first and only team to win three straight away games in the Premier League by five or more goals. The title won’t be decided by goal difference, of course, but if it happens – as Bettingexpert’s BETSiE supercomputer predicts – the Gunners will be very happy.
The BETSiE supercomputer, powered by Bettingexpert, has simulated the Premier League season 100,000 times and believes that Arsenal will beat Liverpool into first place on goal difference. In the table, both teams have recorded 86 points and the Gunners have nine points better goal difference than the Red Devils.
Manchester City are third with 84 points, while Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur are fourth and fifth. BETSiE has Manchester United and Newcastle in sixth and seventh place, Chelsea in eighth and West Ham in ninth.
Unsurprisingly, BETSiE tipped Sheffield United and Burnley to be relegated from League One. Luton Town were also predicted to return to the Championship, nine points from safety.
