Fabrizio Romano Confirms Arsenal’s Keen Interest in Laliga Sensation
Arsenal under Mikel Arteta has begun to compete for major trophies on the grand stage, the Gunners missed out on the Premier League trophy in the 2022/23 season after falling short to Manchester City.
In addressing their shortcomings, the North London club made significant investments, notably acquiring Declan Rice, whose impact has projected them to greater heights, and now Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Mikel Arteta is still keen on bringing Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi to the Emirates, to further solidify the midfield.
The 25-year-old star has been on Arsenal’s radar for quite a while and with speculations over the future of Jorginho and Thomas Partey in the midfield, the Real Sociedad Star will be a perfect addition to the Arsenal squad.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano revealed that Mikel Arteta is a huge fan of the midfielder, “From what I’m hearing, Mikel Arteta is still a big fan of Martin Zubimendi,” the Journalist went on to confirm that there are other names on Arsenal’s list “He believes Zubimendi is a very talented midfielder and could be perfect for any club around the world, so Zubimendi remains one – not the only one – on Arsenal’s list, and there will be others for sure.”
Zubimendi’s ability to operate perfectly as both a central and defensive midfielder, coupled with his offensive record of contributing four goals and one assist for Real Sociedad, aligns well with Mikel Arteta’s preferences and would greatly benefit Arsenal.
The Spaniard reportedly has a release clause of €60M and will be a great addition to Arsenal as he will form a rock-solid partnership with Declan Rice and contribute through his versatile skills on the pitch to further propel the Gunners to greater heights.
