Me or Osimhen…? Benjamin Sesko revealed what Mikel Arteta told him after meeting with Arsenal board yesterday

Arsenal’s hunt for a new striker appears to be heating up.

The Gunners have long-been linked with a new centre-forward, and now, they appear to have settled on a top target.

Indeed, it was reported earlier this week than Benjamin Sesko is Arsenal’s top striking target.

Interestingly, this story now seems to be moving on very quickly as The Mirror now report that Sesko wants to join Arsenal.

Benjamin Sesko wants to join Arsenal

The Mirror report that Sesko has now settled on Arsenal as his preferred destination this summer.

The ‘extremely quick’ striker has been courted by a whole host of clubs, but now, it’s the Gunners who appear to be favourites to get this one done.

At the age of just 20, Sesko is one for the future as well as for the present, and with a £55m release clause in place, the striker is certainly attainable.

Benjamin Sesko could be Arsenal’s new striker

After months of speculation, it looks as though Arsenal may have their new striker in their sights.

For months, pundits and fans alike have been saying that Arsenal need a new, clinical 20-goal-a-season striker, and, to be honest, Sesko isn’t that man.

The attacker netted just 14 goals in the Bundesliga last season, which isn’t the greatest return in a league that isn’t packed with star quality.

Of course, at the age of 20, Sesko has plenty of room to grow and improve, and he does have the physical attributes to become a star one day, but this is a rough diamond of a signing rather than the finished product.

Sesko is a player that could develop into a star, but he may not be the signing that immediately propels Arsenal to the next level and helps them overtake Manchester City next season.

This is an exciting addition, but perhaps it won’t be a transformative signing straight away for the Gunners.
