Arsenal are plotting a shock move to sign Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman on a season-long loan, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that Bayern will allow him to leave this summer, but would require an option or obligation to buy after any loan deal.
Sources say Coman, 28, is keen on making the move to Arsenal this summer but would seek assurances over his playing time at the Emirates.

The winger is one of a number of wide forwards being tracked by Arsenal as Mikel Arteta is keen on strengthening the position before 31 August.

His availability on loan has alerted clubs across Europe who are now monitoring his situation with a potential late move in mind.

Arsenal face battle to sign Kingsley Coman in shock loan move
Coman joined Bayern Munich from Juventus in 2017, having previously spent two seasons on loan at the club, and has gone on to make 294 appearances for the club.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have finished as runners-up to Man City in back-to-back Premier League seasons and are looking to go one further this year.

The Bayern winger would see the addition of an experienced head into what remains a youthful dressing room at the Emirates, with his winning mentality seen as a huge bonus by the club’s recruitment team.

However, Arsenal’s interest clubs alongside some of Europe’s elite clubs and they will face heavy competition for the Frenchman’s signature.

Coman is searching for improved playing time away from Munich after featuring 27 times last season, but may not be afforded that at Arsenal due to Bukayo Saka’s dominance.
