Mikel Arteta‘s side are hoping to make it third time lucky in their pursuit of lifting the Premier League after two impressive campaigns.
The last two international breaks have provided the Gunners with some injury issues, though.
Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard suffered an ankle injury during the first international break of the season.
And the latest international window has provided some further concerns with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli suffering injury scares.
David Beckham wowed by something Bukayo Saka does
Potentially losing Saka to injury will prove a big issue for the Gunners who return to action this weekend in the league.
A busy schedule awaits Arteta’s side over the coming weeks and losing a player of Saka’s significance could prove a major problem.
Speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel, David Beckham has admitted he’s left so impressed by Saka’s ability to take on his defender.
“I suppose the game has changed so much. I am one of these former players who sits there and thinks just get it out to the wing and put it in. That’s really what I am shouting at the TV for,” Beckham said.
“Sometimes you watch games and it’s screaming for that kind of thing. The boss used to say to me sit on that line and eventually it will come, take on touch. I was never one of these players to run at players and take them on, like Bukayo.”
Arsenal could struggle without Bukayo Saka
The England international returned to London Colney during the international break with a suspected injury issue following the defeat to Greece.
This comes after a stunning start to the season for the winger who has already provided a return of three goals and 10 assists across his 10 appearances.
And taking on his man is one of Saka’s stronger aspects of his game with an average of 4.63 progressive carries per 90 minutes.
Arsenal may now have Raheem Sterling at their disposal, but losing Saka would be a significant loss to Arteta’s attacking options.
