Leeds United make move for 49-goal striker who is currently in talks with Newcastle United
Callum Wilson is attracting interest from two other Premier League clubs whilst he decides whether to stay at Newcastle United.
Wilson is out of contract on June 30 and appeared to bid an emotional farewell after Sunday’s final game of the campaign against Everton.
The 33-year-old striker was at one stage in tears as he applauded all four corners of St James’ Park. Wilson has scored 49 goals in 130 appearances since joining from AFC Bournemouth in 2020 for £20million but has endured a frustrating year with injuries.
Wilson has been restricted to 22 appearances this term, only three of which have been starts. His only goal came in the FA Cup fourth round win away to Birmingham City, while his last Premier League goal was over a year ago in May 2024.
