Sky Sports pundit Lee Hendrie believes Cardiff City would be a step up for reported Derby County target Kamil Conteh and claims he would thrive with the Bluebirds.

Rovers may well have to part with their prized asset, but he will not come cheap with the midfielder rated as one of the best young talents in the bottom two divisions.

Derby are said to be keen on the 22-year-old holding midfielder while Cardiff, relegated from the Championship last season, also have him on their radar.

And Hendrie believes while a move to Cardiff would represent a serious jump in standard, he feels Conteh would be more than capable of handling it.
