‘The Brazilian Pedri’ – Wolves and Brighton race to sign €15m wonderkid amid Arsenal ‘talks’
Transfer news latest as Wolves, Brighton and Arsenal fight to sign a player dubbed the ‘Brazilian Pedri’.
Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested in signing highly-rated Corinthians midfielder Breno Bidon but face competition from a host of top clubs in the Premier League and across Europe.
The Old Gold are expected to part ways with the Birmingham City-linked Tommy Doyle this summer and head coach Vitor Pereira is on the hunt for a replacement. Bidon, a current Brazil Under-20 international, is reportedly among the shortlisted targets.
Brazilian publication UOL Esporte reports Wolves have made an official approach to Corinthians to enquire about Bidon’s availability. The 20-year-old is said to be valued at around €15 million (£12.8m), putting him well within Wanderers’ budget.
