Leeds United fans will not forget about what happened before the international break. Many were expecting the club to be active in the days leading to the deadline.
But unfortunately, nothing happened. The Whites only made a last ditch attempt to sign Fulham’s Harry Wilson on deadline day, which collapsed at the last minute. Daniel Farke has been calling for attacking reinforcements since pre-season, and Leeds only gave him two free transfers and Noah Okafor.
“…the players we have. We would just need a bit more quality in the offence like more or less each and every other Premier League side has.
“I can’t expect something from a player he’s not capable of delivering. It’s not like I expect players labelled not good enough three years ago to come here and score goals for fun.”

Leeds painfully missed out on a deal for Brighton star Facundo Buonanotte during the transfer window. After intense negotiations, the Whites had managed to reach an initial agreement over a loan. A flight was even booked for the player, showing how confident Leeds were over a deal. Chelsea swooped in late, and hijacked the move to sign the Argentine playmaker.
Buonanotte made his first start for the Blues after the international break. The game did not go as the midfielder might have hoped; he lasted just 45 minutes failing to score or provide an assist against Brentford.
His replacement at half time, Cole Palmer, came on an immediately changed the game for the London side.
Things are not going well for Buonanotte
Buonanotte could not have asked for a worse start to life at Chelsea; he has already been left out of the Champions League squad. This came as a shock as he mentioned his dream to play in the competition in his first interview when he joined.
The Brighton loanee has now topped it off with a performance to forget in just his first start. The season is still in its early stages, but one could say that Buonanotte is regretting choosing Chelsea over Leeds.
