Fans continue to pressure Daniel Farke to start a reliable goal scorer
Leeds United have been having some serious problems in attack to start this season. The team has scored just two games in five games so far in all competitions.
Lukas Nmecha is the only attacker in the squad that has found the back of the net, and that came from the penalty spot. With key players struggling for goals, Daniel Farke is expected to find a solution soon.
On the other hand, two areas of the pitch that seem to be thriving are the defence and midfield. Despite the results, Leeds have been defensively solid in games, showing the quality they have in the team.

The Whites spent close to £100million this summer, with close to all of it being spent on midfield and defensive additions. One of the big signings this summer was Jaka Bijol. The Slovenian was one of the top defenders from Serie A, and was expected to slot in to the lineup. But he has just made one start for Leeds United this season.
Daniel Farke explained why the defender has not featured more in this campaign:
”I’m 100 per cent convinced of Jaka but it’s not like there is a name in the starting line-up just because of his transfer fee.” quote via YEP.
”It’s about what happens on the training pitch. I liked Jaka a lot in pre-season but he was not available for Everton.
”The final one or two pre-season games you go for the line-up you’d play and so Jaka missed major parts of the last two friendlies.
”Really good performance from our centre-backs, nearly three clean sheets. Pascal and Joe have outstanding performances and this is how professional football works.
”For Jaka, first outing in the cup was difficult. Perhaps not the most convincing game.
”He’s a really good player, mid to long-term very important for us.”
Daniel Farke has a point
Outside the 5-0 drubbing to Arsenal, there is no game you can point to that the blame falls on the club’s defenders. Gabriel Gundmundsson’s freak own goal is the only time the backline have made a crucial error that has lead to goal. Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk have been a great partnership so far, and until there is a massive drop in form, there is no pressing need to bench one of them for Jaka Bijol.
