🚨“They Paid Far Too Much” – Pundit Slams Everton Over €40m Striker

Everton’s transfer business has once again come under fire, with a leading pundit branding the club’s €40 million striker a “waste of money” and claiming he is simply not good enough for top-flight football.

Speaking on a football talk show, the pundit didn’t hold back:

“They paid far too much. Everton threw €40 million on a player who hasn’t justified a fraction of that price tag. For me, he’s not at the level required to succeed in the Premier League.”

The forward, signed amid huge expectations, has struggled to adapt and make a meaningful impact since arriving at Goodison Park. Fans had hoped his arrival would solve Everton’s long-standing issues in attack, but so far, goals and confidence have been hard to come by.

The criticism adds to mounting pressure on both the player and the club’s recruitment team, with many questioning whether Everton rushed into a deal without fully assessing the striker’s fit for English football.

Despite the backlash, the striker has received backing from sections of the fanbase and coaching staff, who argue that patience is required as he adjusts to the physicality and pace of the Premier League.

For now, though, the €40m price tag looms large, and unless performances improve soon, the move may go down as one of Everton’s most expensive mistakes.
