‘Total agreement’: Everyone at Tottenham wanted £40m premier league midfielder to sign for Spurs
Negotiating transfers at Tottenham Hotspur should not be an easy task.
Spurs have so many key players at the club right now and it could well be that they are all being pulled in different directions.
Ange Postecoglou, Daniel Levy, Johan Lange, Scott Munn and even Fabio Paratici all have an influence on what is happening at Spurs right now.
All these individuals have a strong will, so it’s not easy to get them all to agree on something.
But with all the signings the Spurs have made recently, there was one player that they unanimously agreed was their target.
Ryan Taylor told The Spurs Chat podcast that while it’s hard to put a finger on who has the biggest impact on Spurs right now, everyone at the club agreed on the signing of James Maddison.
Everyone agreed on the signing of Maddison
Taylor spoke of the £40 million player.
“It’s hard to put a finger on who has the biggest impact at the moment. It is well documented that Paratici works for the club as a consultant, he has had an influence on many of these signings, including Vicari. James Maddison is a well-known name in the Premier League and he is a player that the Spurs hierarchy as a whole has agreed that they want to bring to the club,” said Taylor.
Undoubtedly
It is no surprise to hear that everyone at Tottenham agrees with the signing of Maddison. It was a bargain-basement signing that needed no thought.
Maddison cost Spurs just £40m in the summer, an incredible price for a player who has spent years proving himself at the highest level.
Spurs needed a creator this summer and there really aren’t many better than Maddison.
It is no exaggeration to say that Maddison was perhaps the Premier League signing of the summer.
