Arsenal have door open for £64 million man as first January transfer deal, after Bayern make big transfer decision
Arsenal are reportedly interested in Joao Palhinho after Bayern Munich pulled out of the race for the Fulham player.
Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester United, who had an impressive debut season in the Premier League, are also said to be interested in signing the 28-year-old.
But a move to Bayern Munich looked set to happen in the summer window after they accepted a bid for him – but the deal fell through at the last minute and the central midfielder was allowed to stay
However, there has been much more speculation in this transfer window that he could leave the club again, and now it seems that Arsenal have been strengthened in a possible move for this player.
Fabrizio Romano says that the German champions have been spooked by a £64-69 million valuation for the Portuguese midfielder.
Romano believes that this rules out any serious attempt by Bayern for Palhinho this month and that the Gunners may remain the most likely side to make a serious approach in the current transfer window.
