“I can’t wait for the done deal”: £65m midfielder announces he wants to join Arsenal at the end of this season
Brazilian international Raphael Veiga has admitted that he would like to join a club like Arsenal.
The 28-year-old attacking midfielder is a key player for the Brazilian club and has scored four goals in three appearances in all competitions this season. He can also play as a second striker.
It is no secret that Mikel Arteta is keen to add some more quality to the attack – although it is highly unlikely that the Spanish boss will now be able to finalise any deal before the deadline.
However, the Palmeiras midfielder has been linked with a move to Europe in recent months, and has now opened up and mentioned Arsenal FC as one of the clubs he could join.
Speaking to AS, Veiga singled out the Gunners as one of the clubs he would like to join, explaining: “I have a desire to play in Europe, but I would also love to play for Palmeiras.
“Barcelona, Madrid, City, Arsenal and others like Manchester United… It is difficult to say just one.
“They have impressive teams and they all have something special and interesting.”
