Toni Kroos Praises Arsenal’s Leader as His Favorite Gunner
In a recent interview, Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos spoke highly of Arsenal’s young star Martin Odegaard, calling him his favorite player from the North London club.
“Of all the Arsenal players, Martin Odegaard is the one I admire the most,” Kroos said. “He’s such a talented and intelligent player who has really come into his own over the past year or so.”
Kroos and Odegaard previously played together at Real Madrid, where the Norwegian spent a successful loan spell in 2020-21 before making a permanent move to Arsenal the following summer.
“Even from a young age, you could see the quality that Martin possessed,” Kroos continued. “The way he sees the game, his technical ability, and his calmness on the ball are all so impressive.”
The German international went on to praise Odegaard’s development since joining Arsenal, where he has blossomed into one of the Premier League’s most promising young playmakers.
“At Arsenal, Martin has really taken his game to the next level. He’s become the focal point of their attack and is driving them forward with his creativity and vision,” Kroos said.
“It’s been great to see him flourish and I’m not surprised at all by the success he’s having. He’s a special player and I’m sure he’ll continue to get better and better.”
Kroos’ glowing assessment of Odegaard’s talents will surely be music to the ears of Arsenal fans, who have watched the 24-year-old become an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s side.
