Arsenal ‘FINALLY’ send officials to Germany ahead of potential signing of new striker
Benjamin Sesko is set to decide his future before the start of this summer’s Euros with Chelsea interested in a potential deal for the striker.
The Gunners spent heavily in the summer transfer window, breaking their own transfer record to sign sign a number of players that they feel will help drive the club into a new era of winning trophies.
ARSENAL are favourites to land Ivan Toney as they look to add a notable striker to Mauricio Pochettino’s squad, and the 27-year-old is believed to be open to leaving Brentford at the end of the season.
But his £100 million asking price may put alot of clubs offf in the summer window because of the financial fair play rules – meaning that the likes of Arsenal may have to switch attentions to the likes of Sesko.
According to a recent report on GiveMeSport, Sesko has a release clause of £43m in his existing contract, an amount that ARSENAL would be willing to shell out.
His agent has now confirmed he will make his decision within three weeks and Sesko will either sign a new contract with RB Leipzig or leave the club this summer, reports Fabrizio Romano.
He is regarded as one of the finest young strikers in the game – and fits the type of player that the Arsenal board are looking to sign in the future.
And if you believe the words of reporter Iomie Stanley – he could be a great signing for the club: ‘The lad is showing all the potential and quality that will determine how far he goes in the game.
‘If e makes the right move at the right time of his career – he could be one of the best and could potentially be a great signing for Arsenal.’
