Done deal? Arsenal closing in on on new signing after agreement reached yesterday!
Arsenal closing in on the signing of Fenerbahce left-back Ferdi Kadioglu, as an agreement has reportedly been reached.
Kadıoğlu has played 51 official matches for Fenerbahçe this season, had 3 goals and 5 assists. The 24-year-old has a contract with Fenerbahce until June 2026, but is attracting all sorts of interest.
It has been claimed in recent weeks that both Napoli and ARSENAL are very much interested in adding the player to their respective squads at the end of the season, as his £25 million valuation is not alot of money.
Turkish outlets Millyet are reporting that Arteta’s side are “at the negotiating table” and “pushing to finalise” a deal for the 24-year-old defender after an agreement had been reached.
There will be many ARSENAL fans out there that have never heard of Kadıoğlu, have never seen him play and would never have imagined that a move to the Emirates could be on at the end of the season.
to be fair it is only a rumour – clubs have agreements with many players that do not end up going through – so that may be the case here.
Kadıoğlu may be impressing a few sides and having a great season in the Turkish League, but he is not good enough for this current Arsenal side, he is not good enough for the Premier League and would most likely keep the bench warm at the Emirates.
As we said it is a massive claim to make and only time will tell if he does make the move, but we are sure that he will not be signing with Arsenal in the next couple of months.
The Gunners boss will be backed in the transfer window – the club have big plans – it will be very interesting to see just who arrives at the club.
