Newcastle United make Sean Longstaff decision as two rivals wait with cash bids

Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff could hold all the cards when it comes to his future.

The Geordie boy is on holiday at the moment but is still scheduled to hook up with Newcastle in early July for pre-season training. However, a mutual decision from both the Academy product and the club will dictate the next step for the midfielder who has made 176 appearances for Newcastle in the Premier League.

At 27, Longstaff could very easily argue he wants more security rather than a season on trial. Especially as there are clubs keen on signing him this summer.

Both Leeds United and Everton would take Longstaff and Chronicle Live understands those moves have been essentially parked until the window hots up later this summer. A decision would then have to be made from all parties to proceed but Longstaff certainly has options.
