Alex Paulson choose to return to Bournemouth

Auckland FC have confirmed star goalkeeper Alex Paulsen has returned to English Premier League club AFC Bournemouth after a one-season loan spell at the Black Knights.

The New Zealand international kept a league-high 13 clean sheets through 28 games, playing every minute of Auckland’s historic Isuzu UTE A-League Premiership title in the club’s inaugural season.

Paulsen joined Bournemouth in 2024 after spending the first three seasons of his senior career at Wellington Phoenix, but returned to the Isuzu UTE A-League for the following term on loan at the Black Knights.
