Newcastle United will be among the clubs to benefit from the Premier League’s new television deal with beIN SPORTS.

The new three-year agreement for live broadcast rights in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) is worth £550m, which represents a 10% increase on the previous cycle.

Such deals help explain why the top-flight’s overall revenue is set to rise at a time when a number of other major European leagues are seeing broadcast income plateau.

Premier League clubs were informed that total broadcast and commercial revenue will increase from £10.5bn in the current three-year cycle to £12.25bn between 2025 and 2028 during a shareholders’ meeting back in February.
