Leeds United have waved goodbye to Junior Firpo, leaving them in desperate need of two left-back signings.

The transfer window is now wide open and it’s already been an exciting summer for Leeds United as they prepare the squad for the big step up to the Premier League.

The squad that earned 100 points has already taken several hits, though, with Manor Solomon and Joe Rothwell returning to their parent clubs and first-teamers being released.

Josuha Guilavogui’s one-year stay has come to an end, despite Willy Gnonto’s protests, but the headline departure is Junior Firpo.

The left-back was integral to Daniel Farke’s side last season as he provided width and attacking might down the flank, setting up 10 goals and scoring four.

Leeds are now lacking any senior left-backs and will need to rectify that issue in the transfer window.

Tyrick Mitchell is bound to have better-placed suitors than a newly promoted side this summer but it can’t hurt Leeds to try, given the left-back is currently set to be available on a free transfer.
