Journalist shares huge updates on Leeds United targets – Saudi club involved

Leeds United have added a new striker and two defenders to the squad this summer. There are still some areas that need to be addressed before pre season kicks off.

High quality arrivals have been brought to boost the squad depth including Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol and Sebastiaan Bornauw. It is believed that Nmecha and Bijol will compete for starting jobs while Bornauw will most likely take the place of Max Wober who is on his way out of the club.

Leeds recently missed out on Habib Diarra, who joined Sunderland. But the club are hoping to seal a deal for Hoffenheim star Anton Stach.

Over a month into the transfer window, and there is no concrete first choice goalkeeper at the club.

Illan Meslier was expected to depart soon, but is still in West Yorkshire. Leeds have been keen on adding a new goalkeeper in the last few days.

Now, Graeme Bailey has provided an update on the current transfer targets for the club:

On Marcin Bulka, he said: “I believe — I haven’t had confirmation of this yet — but I believe he’s probably heading to Saudi.

“And I think Sunderland were ahead of Leeds in talks anyway. Leeds weren’t really in as much in the conversations for him.” he said to Leeds United News.

Concerning Lucas Perri, he also added: “Everything tells me Lyon will avoid relegation, from what I hear. There won’t be a fire sale at Lyon from what I understand.

“They don’t currently need to sell to the point where they are offloading their first-choice goalkeeper.

“Leeds are likely looking elsewhere in the market.”

Leeds need a new keeper soon

So far, all the targets mentioned are top class keepers in Europe’s top leagues. So it shows the calibre of player Leeds are targeting to sign this summer.

Most of them would be huge upgrades on the current options, and will likely start in the Premier League. But with pre season beginning soon, Leeds need to act fast.
