🚨 NEW: Sheffield Wednesday Hit by Injury Blow as Coach Henrik Confirms Key Absentees vs Portsmouth
Sheffield Wednesday boss Henrik has delivered disappointing news ahead of this weekend’s League One clash, confirming that several players will be out of contention against Portsmouth.
Speaking to the media, Henrik admitted the timing of the injuries is far from ideal as the Owls prepare for a difficult test against one of the division’s strongest sides.

“It’s sad news for us, really. A few important players won’t be available for Portsmouth, and that’s a blow. But this is football — we have to adapt and trust the squad to step up,” the coach said.
The setback comes at a crucial stage of the campaign, with Wednesday eager to climb the table and build momentum. Missing key personnel against a high-flying Portsmouth side, however, will make the challenge even tougher.

Despite the frustration, Henrik emphasised belief in his squad:
“We’ve shown resilience before and we’ll need it again. The lads who come in have a chance to make a real impact. It’s a test, but one we’re ready to face together.”
Fans will now be eagerly waiting for the official team sheet to see which names miss out, as the Hillsborough side look to overcome adversity and deliver a performance for their travelling supporters.
