Former Real Madrid and Chelsea star has ‘no doubt’ about Frank Lampard
Former Chelsea and Real Madrid midfielder Geremi is backing his old team-mate Frank Lampard to get back to managing in the Premier League.
Coventry City owner Doug King and Sky Blues fans are obviously hoping that will be at the CBS Arena where the head coach is doing an admirable job – having led the team to the Championship play-offs in his first six months in charge and now leading the charge for another promotion push in his first full season at the helm.

Lampard has guided the club to an unbeaten start to the 2025/26 campaign, taking ten points from two wins and four draws, albeit the City boss disappointed not to have collected more from some impressive opening performances when the team have been frustrated and thwarted by the likes of Hull and Norwich.

But a point and clean sheet at one of this term’s promotion favourites, Leicester City, last time out sets the Sky Blues up nicely for this weekend’s second big Midlands derby in the space of a week when they face another fancied side this season, Birmingham, on home soil.
Asked about his old team-mate from their Stamford Bridge days, Geremi insisted: “There is no doubt that Frank Lampard will be a Premier League manager again.
“We have seen that he plays good football and he is still young and learning the game. He has gone into management and he has already taken several jobs to show that he can be a success.”
