Leeds United captain Ethan Ampadu has revealed why he was visibly furious with his teammates following Saturday’s dramatic 2-2 draw against Bournemouth at Elland Road.

The midfielder stressed that his reaction wasn’t personal but rather a message to demand higher standards from the squad as Leeds aim to stay in the promotion hunt.

🗣️ “We have to be switched on until the last second. Games are won and lost in moments, and today we lost two points because of one moment. As captain, I have to make sure it doesn’t happen again,” he added.

While the result keeps Leeds within touching distance of the top spots, fans left Elland Road knowing it could have been more. Ampadu’s fiery response, however, underlines his commitment to ensuring those dropped points don’t become a recurring theme in their season.
