Arsenal should agree loan deal for €80m PSG striker with buy option, Club ready to allow him leave

Arsenal should ask for Paris Saint-Germain striker Goncalo Ramos on loan, with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Ramos was on the radar of several elite European clubs last summer and impressed in a fantastic year for Benfica and Portugal.

He was also linked with several Premier League clubs, but ultimately Paris Saint-Germain won out and signed him – initially on loan.

In November, his €80 million buyout clause was activated, but now L’Equipe reports that he could leave the club already in this transfer window.

Les Parisiens are ready to listen to reasonable offers for the 22-year-old, who has fallen out of favor with coach Luis Enrique since December.

Arsenal are unlikely to be able to afford to buy him outright due to concerns over financial fairness, but could propose a loan with a buy-back clause.

The French champions may not oppose this idea, but they may prefer to use a buyback clause based on conditions that increase the likelihood of selling him.

In this case, they can use the money to balance the books this summer and focus on buying another striker when Kylian Mbappe leaves.

Ramos, meanwhile, has scored just four goals and one assist for Paris Saint-Germain and has played just 888 minutes in all competitions for the capital.

Last season he was a force for Benfica, scoring 27 goals and 12 assists while securing appearances.

In our opinion, the Portuguese has the potential to become a world-class striker. He could be given the chance to develop and succeed with guaranteed first team football.

We believe the Gunners should sign him, but the final decision is in the hands of the management.
