Netherlands goalkeeper Justin Bijlow admits it is flattering to be linked with ‘very nice clubs’ Arsenal

The transfer window will give Arsenal the opportunity to delve back into that transfer kitty and add a few players to the squad that will give them the edge over Man City next season.

There has been alot of rumours in the media that Aaron Ramsdale will be departing the club at some point in the transfer window after falling down the pecking order – with a number of Premier League clubs linked.

That has led to alot of speculation and rumours in the media that Bijlow is a player that Arsenal have been watching this season – and are ready to pay big money for in the coming months.

Bijlow has made more than 100 league appearances for boyhood club Feyenoord but has refused to commit his long-term future to the Dutch giants as rumours of a move to Arsenal persist.

Asked specifically about the interest from Liverpool and Arsenal, Bijlow added: ‘Those are two very nice clubs.

‘Of course it is always nice to be mentioned at big clubs. What I’m just saying: I’m ambitious. As long as I play for Feyenoord I will give everything for that and first I just want to focus on the Dutch team.’

AGENT WANTS ZIRKZEE TO JOIN ARSENAL –

Arsenal have been hope in their attempts to land Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee, as his agent wants him to make a move to the Emirates.

Mikel Arteta knows that he needs to sign his very own Erling Haalnd if ARSENAL really want to beat Man City to that premier League title next season – and the likes of Zirkzee has been mentioned as a possible signing for the Gunners.

The Young man has had a brilliant season with Bologna this campaign and is heavily tipped to make a move to one of the big European clubs – especially as he he has a £40 million release clause in his contract.

And the Dutch forward, who joined the Serie A club for £7m (€8.5m) from Bayern Munich in August 2022, has suggested he could move on.

‘At the moment my head is only in Bologna,’ Zirkzee said in an interview with Corriere Di Bologna.

‘I want to recover from the injury and have some nice holidays in the United States with my childhood friends and then we’ll see what happens.

Asked what he would do if given the choice to leave Bologna this summer, Zirkzee replied: ‘I would choose the best for the club. I will only do what makes sense in my heart.’

When asked if would feel different playing for another Champions League team instead of Bologna next season, Zirkzee said: ‘Exactly, that’s what I said and I’ll repeat it. It’s clear that for me it would be wonderful to defend this goal we achieved together. What we experienced in Piazza Maggiore was unforgettable.’

Now the young forward is said to have been pushed towards moving to north London by his agent Kia Joorabchian, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The player’s intermediary is reportedly close to sporting director Edu Gaspar and a contract is already on the table. Despite securing Champions League football with Bologna under Thiago Motta, the Italian side are set to lose their manager and several key players.

BARCELONA CONFIRMS ARSENAL DEAL –

Barcelona have confirmed that Mariona Caldentey will be joining Arsenal this summer window.

After a stuttering season for the ARSENAL side that is so used to winning trophies – Boss Jonas Eidevall is keen to make sure that he makes a few signings over the summer window.

Eidevall recently stated that he’s looking for a player who can create chances for his team, he said: ‘When the space isn’t there and we need to create it, that is where, at times, we have been lacking. From a pace perspective and having players who can exploit space, we are good.

We need to be more effective on set pieces and to open games up where there is less space, those are qualities we need to bring into the squad,”

And now it seems that he has got his wish as Barcelona have just confirmed that Caldentey will be making the move to the WSL this transfer window.

She managed to score 15 goals and provide 14 assists in 45 games for Barcelona but is keen to test herself outside of the Spanish League and in arguably the toughest league in the womens game.

Caldentey, 28, won the World Cup with Spain in 2023 and is a two-time Women’s Champions League winner with Barca.
